Is the lodge family-friendly?

Mologa River Lodge is an adults-only retreat (18+). The only accommodation where children are welcome is the Bush Camp, our off-grid camping site. The main lodge, chalets, Manor Villa, and BeeHive Cabin are reserved for adult guests.

Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Please ensure all outstanding balances are settled before departure. A late check-out extension fee of R150 per hour applies, granted at management's discretion and subject to availability. If another booking is scheduled for the same unit, a late check-out cannot be accommodated.

How do I make a booking?

You can book directly through our website using our secure NightsBridge booking system, or contact us via email or phone. We recommend booking well in advance, especially for weekends, school holidays, and peak season (April-September).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation 14 days before arrival: forfeit 80% of the deposit. Cancellation 7 days before arrival: forfeit 100% of the deposit. Cancellation before 48 hours of arrival: forfeit 50% of the total booking amount. Cancellation within 24 hours: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. Postponements within 72 hours: additional charge of R1,500. Refunds cannot be issued for early departures or no-shows. This policy applies to BeeHive Cabin and general accommodation.

Yes, Mologa River Lodge is a cashless property. We accept card payments only — no cash is accepted on the premises.

What is your deposit policy?

Accepted Answer

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Bookings are held for 24 hours from the time the invoice is sent — if proof of payment is not received within this time, the booking will automatically be cancelled. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to arrival.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

No outside food or drinks may be brought onto the premises during your stay at Mologa River Lodge. All beverages and meals must be purchased directly from the lodge. If outside alcohol or drinks are found on the property, a penalty fee of R700 will be automatically added to your bill. Exception: BeeHive Cabin is fully self-catering — guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages. Bush Camp guests may also bring their own supplies.

Smart casual attire is required for dinner at the lodge restaurant. Swimwear is not permitted in the restaurant or bar areas. A swimming pool dress code applies to maintain the tranquil atmosphere — this is particularly important for BeeHive and lodge guests.

A refundable security deposit of R200 may be required upon arrival. This amount will be refunded within three working days after checkout, once the unit has been inspected. If no damages are recorded, the deposit will be refunded in full or deducted from the final bill where applicable. If damages exceed the deposit amount, guests will be liable for the full cost of repair or replacement. A price list of lodge items is available in each unit for transparency.

What are the BeeHive Cabin rules?

The BeeHive Cabin is a fully self-catering unit designed for privacy and solitude, with a minimum 2-night stay required. Located approximately 3km from the main lodge, guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages and enjoy the exclusive use of their private outdoor area with a fire pit and bathtubs. While you're always welcome to pre-book a meal or activity at the lodge, BeeHive is truly a space to unwind and connect with nature at your own pace.
